Everyone in my house appears to be doing something to mark this auspicious date so thought I'd pop in here and do likewise.
Personally, ... don't know what all the fuss is about but there you go, each to there own as they say...
(typed the 'tehy say', ...what is it with the 'the' keys on this keyboard, they're forever getting themselves confused)!
LOL
Not been writing much on here but ... was reading just yesterday about 'positive triggers' and it's fair caught my attention.
And, better yet, so far, it appears to be working for me ...
The priciples of Positive Triggering are based around conjuring up in your mind things that you experienced that made you feel good in order to help you through bad times or 'down' times or plain old 'bored' times ...
Not that I'm ever bored ... at least I don't think I am ..
Down, now 'Down' and me are on the most intimate of terms ...way too intimate if you were to ask me ...
but you won't as we don't know each other .. and never will as there's rules around here, rules which, for a Long time, I was happy to allow to hold sway over my life and the lives of those with whom I come into contact, so there you go, it's me that's to 'blame' ... not that I blame me of course, well, not out loud any way, always 'keep it all in' as the song says,....
Speaking of songs, I like to switch the radio on whenever I get up, it keeps me company and sometimes the first song or tune I hear can set my day off just right.
Llike this morning, it was Johny Walker on 'the Beeb', Radio 2 ...
Dancing Queen, it was, from the movie version of Mama Mia.
''Fabulous'' he called it and ''A great night out.'' and he, like me, saw it weks ago...
Well, he's spot on, anyone, no, in fact, Everyone who is reading this should go and see it.
It's such an 'Upper', ... lifts spirits like no movie I've ever seen before ...
Right now, where was I? Oh yes, Positive Triggers,
Well last night I got to sleep quite quickly (although that's rarity for me These days!) by recalling when we used to go to the east shore of 'The Loch', Loch Lomond to you, and we'd pull the car up on the 'beach' and there would be Total Silence and we'd swim and we'd picnic and we'd relax and we'd ... (Eat! What else would I mean?)
Ahhhhhh What lovely memories ...
Anyway, being 'back there in my mind let me drift off nice and smoothly ...
Must remember to read more about 'positive triggers' ....
They might just work other times too.
